If this is the origional lead singer, WTF happened to his voice? I may be a triple Schmuck, but at least I dont lack the ability to inform someone of correct information without calling names. You might want to work on that,but thanks for the info anyways.

@yaggazoozy The original singer is singing this song - the DRUMMER - LEVON HELM, you putz. Some of the other verses are shared with the Staples Singers and of course, the verse about 'Chester' the 'Dog' is sung by Rick Danko (he usually did that verse). You are a triple schmuck.

Who's the black lady?????? That's the great Mavis Staples playing with the familly band The Staple Singers. The Black man as you might call him was Pops, his dad, a friend of Dr. King and someone who used his band for creating great songs and fight for civil rights She's actually 80 and last year recorded a splendid album produced by Jeff Tweedy (Wilco), you can find in this site she and Jeff playing accoustic the couples of songs Jeff wrote for her. I'm only 36 and I love this people.

my friend has this on vinyl, and original... so amazing
