@veggiehotdog - I used a sharp french knife. At least I think I did! It's my favorite knife. As you probably know, you only need a few knives when you are a vegetarian.

I made this last night and it was very good, added some corn. I was worried that it would be bland because you didn't add spice, but it was good just the way it was, just the natural taste of the vegetables. It seems like a good autumn soup. What kind of knife are you using? I love listening to it chop the vegetables!

@08babymonster Cook until vegetables are soft. Varies with how big the pieces are and how old the vegetable, but generally a half-hour to 45 minutes should do it.

@ChowHallCommando - cook until done to your liking. Sounds like a copout but that's what I do.
