@irishtourist I know this is an old post, but its partially incorrect. In reality, creatine wont turn into creatinine for atleast a few hours in water. If you down it within an hour, it will still be totally fine.

Omg,,,caffeine cancels creatine effect and also leaving creatine in liquid changes its structure so it loses its benefits...
