I take B12 shots every month because I'm anemic and my doctor actually prescribed it to me. I have a deficiency and without it I'm depressed (literally, I am suicidal and depressed without it - one of the symptoms of a B12 deficiency is depression and that actually is why I went to the doctor. I was depressed and my doctor did a blood test and that's how they fond out I was anemic). I'm 16, 5'8'' and I weigh 112 lbs. I eat A LOT. So who knows, maybe that's why I'm so skinny.

I take B12 shots every two because I am anemic and don't have enough of it. It does not make you loose weight. I call bullshit on this.

@QueenSahperia this only happens in toxicity levels, for example if you take too much B vitamins.....just like if you ingest high levels of caffeine..... .B vitamins have been linked to preventing heart disease, dementia, depression and so much more, and it just happens to speed up metabolism which is linked to weight loss. I think I might try this.

I haven't heard about this, but I had to eat vitamin B complex as a supplement and it made me really hungry. I know with B12 shots, the body is just processing more food, faster, but if someone got only B12 shots, ate a lot and still don't exercise, how is that really going to help? I don't believe the body would process the food fast enough for the amount you eat, because it REALLY makes you hungry. At some point you'd either be miserable and quit, then put all the weight back on.

I think that problem is really that these injections speed up your heart too..therefore increasing your risk for a heart attack..
