Yeah, I think there is some truth to the whole soy / estrogen thing. I purposely avoid eating any soy based foods and supplements because of this. Stick to whey protein powder. It's generally cheaper and tastes a lot better then soy protein... Not to mention it's higher quality.

@leemhayward I first saw this when it came out and now i'm looking around for protein to take. I've tried soy protein and i was gaining about 5-10lbs each week. Then i heard how it produces estrogen and being a guy i stopped it. Do you think that's true about how it produces estrogen? I'm thinking about taking it again since it gave me some nice size.

First time seeing this guy or any of his videos, and I absolutely agree and stand behind his statements. I have been lifting for 9 years, BS in Exercise Science, and BS in Biology. He is 100% correct. Very good show. My hat off to you good Sir.

Lee great video. Question. I wake up at 7am. Drop the kids off at school then hit the gym at around 9am. You mentioned that we should consume our protein drink first thing in the morning and then after our workout. Should I drink a shake after my workout even if I've just drank one 2-3 hours earlier?

There are other kinds of protein powders available, milk, egg, casein, vegetable, rice, etc. you can try a different kind of protein powder and see if it effects you differently than whey. Just get a small container and test it out.

Whey Protein makes my stomach seriously hurt. I'm not lactose intollerant and I have used many brands, they all do the same. What alternative type of protein would you suggest that is easier on the stomach?

Hi Lee, I want some advice. I took all day BSN NITRIX and SYNTHA 6. after i change the protein. i took Optimum nutrition 100% whey gold. But i feel this is not original. not dissolve well.tastes like water. how do know the original and duplicate.I live in Italy. product do not come directly from America. Please help me find good product. Thanks.
