Just to note I am sure the US consumes a lot more anyway... We have this need to over do EVERYTHING... For example: Throw million dollar sweet 16 birthdays, Shop 'til we drop (literally and leave the debt to our kids to worry about, etc...) LOL!

Just wondering about the sugar stat... There is a population difference between the US and Japan... Is the US sugar stat an average of the whole population? Or, was it adjusted to be an equal comparison between the 2? (If is was adjusted for already and this is the stat, then yes that would be A LOT of sugar!)

I also imagine the Japanese are still healthy thanks in part to the fact that Monsanto hasn't genetically corrupted 90% of their food(yet).
GMO = sludge from satans bowels. Nothing good will come of it. Nature does not like being effed with. Everything is as it should be and we should leave it be.

Soft drinks of any sort are absolutely terrible. The greatest injustice is that literally everything labeled 'diet' Will Actually Make You Fatter. Avoid stuff with aspartame like it's the plague.
Only things I drink are primarily water, followed by tea, coffee, milk, and fruit juice. Anytime I need something sweetened, I use Stevia. Stick to home-made meals with local fresh or organic produce, avoid processed garbage, take a good multi-vitamin, dont smoke or drink to excess and you'll be fine.
