I am always at 10%, but when competition comes for body building, I go down to 2-3% its great, but I wouldnt recommend it to everybody, you walk around like a zombie and you are always tired haha

Well, a healthy body fat percent for a man is between 13 and 17 percent.
Athletic persons who are training for competition, can sometimes have a body fat percentage of below 12 and even 10 percent. This is not the average, however.

@Leok450
sorry for replying to an 8 month old comment, but imo the best way for skinny people to gain muscle mass would be to lift heavy. compound excercises such as deadlifts, bench press, squats, and other lifts that use multiple muscles groups seem to trigger protein synthesis more intensly than something like a bicep curl. dont worry, your metabolism slows down naturally with age so in a few years it'll be at a point where you can pack on muscle. at 14, your still 'growing up' ;)

@Leok450 carb up
start off the day with carbs and end the day with carbs
2 minute noodles for breakfast and before bed and you'll gain weight no matter who you are without having to eat 97727727872 pounds of protien
thats not the proper way to do it but it works regardless

It is NOT healthy to have really low fat levels. This idea is very hazardous.
Top level athlete's who maintain that low of a body fat percentage are not healthy studies have proven this and the athletes know it.
Humans need fat to be healthy. Not a lot, but some. People who are underweight suffer just as many health complications as those who are overweight.
Side note: using BMI is not a great indicator of body fat percentage.
